CVE-2026-84648 (Jenkins SECURITY-3967)#
Severity: High Vulnerability Type: Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
Independently discovered and reported a Stored XSS vulnerability in the Jenkins system log viewer. In affected versions, the system log viewer did not escape log record metadata (source, level, and timestamp). This resulted in a stored XSS vulnerability exploitable by attackers in control of agent processes.
The issue was mitigated in newer versions of Jenkins by enforcing Content Security Policy protection and properly escaping log record metadata before rendering it.
